Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our dental office. Our office is privately-owned, no chain DSO, female and minority oriented. The Treatment Coordinator will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. The Treatment Coordinator’s main job responsibility is to clearly explain diagnosed treatment and related costs to patients.
**Duties**:
**-Presenting & Accepting Treatment for patients and their families**
**-Articulate treatment options, benefits, and costs in a compelling and persuasive manner.**:
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Collect and process patient payments. Assist with billing and payment processing.
- Set up patient payment plans.
- Negotiate any overdue balance to recover payment from patients
- Address and resolve patient questions and concerns regarding unsettled invoices and billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with treatment planning and presenting treatment options to patients
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient care
- Provide red-carpet customer service, swiftly addressing concerns and inquiries with professionalism and poise
- Cultivate a culture of positivity and teamwork, fostering an environment where success is shared and celebrated
- **MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER- WE DO NOT WANT DRAMA IN OUR OFFICE**
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
- **Comfortable communicating to patients in both Spanish and English**:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- **Strong organizational skills with attention to detail**:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Spanish Speaker
**-knowledge of Open Dental Software is a plus**
We offer competitive compensation based on experience. Pay: $16.00 to $20.00 depending on capabilities & experience
