This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Broadcast & Production.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

Broadcast Engineering

Installing, testing, upgrading, maintaining, and repairing all television and radio broadcast equipment and systems for a state-of-the-art broadcast facility that facilitates one of the most popular television, radio, and streaming broadcasts and podcasts in America. This includes:

- Ensuring all broadcast and ancillary equipment and systems are operational and properly maintained
- Overseeing a preventative maintenance program for all broadcast equipment, including maintaining a spare parts inventory and equipment center
- Managing audio, video, and lighting systems and equipment upgrades
- Implementation of standards, controls, processes, and technologies that ensure a high degree of availability and reliability for the production system environments
- Providing specific engineering signal flow diagrams for CAD documentation on all work performed on technical systems
- Minimizing any loss of service when broadcast equipment or systems fails, including implementing disaster recovery methods
- Troubleshooting video, audio, and IT issues in the broadcasting systems and providing rapid solutions, including using third-party vendors when necessary
- Building and articulating future technical requirements and recommendations
- Oversight and management of all program distribution via file base solutions
- Providing support to end users for broadcast equipment and systems issues and concerns
- Evaluating, researching, and recommending equipment and software acquisitions for broadcast

Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage the broadcast engineering staff and a team of audio, video, and lighting technicians for the LWC sanctuary
- Oversee health and safety program for broadcast and audio engineers
- Maintaining current training records for all applicable departmental personnel

Other Production Responsibilities
- Responsible for the setup, safety, vendor selection, design, and risk management for rigging within Lakewood Church
- Maintain FCC requirements for Closed Captioning as related to programming for all On-Air, Cable, and Web distribution platforms
- Other related duties as assigned

**MINISTERIAL DUTIES**

As an Employee of Lakewood Church, you are a part of an over 60-year legacy of faith. As a part of the Lakewood team, you are a key part of our mission in taking the Hope found in Jesus to the world. - Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work outside the normal hours as business requires, including a rotating on-call shift with availability 24/7
- Managing projects and delegating tasks to employees and contactors
- Creating a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s mission and values
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree
- Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Communication, related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical broadcast/production environment is preferred
