**SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is a resourceful problem solver for insurance agencies and brokers conducting business in the state of Texas. Policy Analyst should have the ability to work well autonomously and as a member of a collaborative team. Should also be flexible, have curiosity, and be committed to learning. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and audio/visual.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Follow the life cycle of insurance policy filings while using the opportunity to educate customers on regulatory compliance. Verify entered policy data by reviewing, correcting, or reentering data as needed.

3. Process incoming policy documents, perform data entry and maintain data entry requirements.

4. Perform policy audits, including review of agent information for accuracy, reporting discrepancies to Leads or Operations Manager and make corrections as needed per regulatory requirements.

5. Assist with new agent registration and user and password re-set on web portal.

6. Gather data to identify internal and external customer needs for use in improving design, utility, and efficiency of the system or processes.

7. Create or recommend solutions and evaluate other proposed solutions. Once a problem is recognized, attempt to determine causes prior to escalating.

8. Participate in ad-hoc projects and/or tasks to ensure best practices and efficiency.

9. Respond to requests using active listening, asking questions as necessary, and assisting users in progressive problem solving from initial contact to final resolution.

11. Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.

12. Maintain confidentiality for both customer data and SLTX/operations processes.

13. Contribute to team effort by employing time-management skills and accurately accomplishing related or assigned tasks and responsibilities.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

1. High School Diploma. An equivalent combination of experience and/or education will be considered.

2. One (1) year technical support or customer service experience.

3. At least one (1) year of technological skills, with ability to navigate multiple company systems or learn new systems. Note: School internship will be considered.

4. At least one (1) year working in a call center environment or equivalent, ensuring good dialogue is conducted with peers, supervisors, and customers. Note* School internships will be considered.

5. Effective communication, organization, and time management skills to deliver excellent customer service with responsiveness and pro-active solutions.

6. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail, with emphasis of working independently and completion of tasks, as assigned.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and audio/visual.

8. Demonstrated job stability.

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**

1. Experience and knowledge with agent/brokers, insurance companies, or other similar industry entity preferably in the Surplus Lines market. Experience in the admitted market is also considered.

2. Associate or Bachelor’s degree on Risk Management or Insurance major, or similar risk management or insurance related designations (such as AINS, ASLI, or ARM).
