Pharmacy Technician Board Certification

**Responsibilities**:

- Support pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications
- Prepare medications by counting tablets, labeling bottles, and packaging prescriptions
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
- Assist patients by answering simple questions, locating items or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information
- Process insurance claims and manage billing issues

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong communication skills for patient service and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Experience with IV infusion and acute care settings is a plus
