Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a **full-time Clinical Assistant **to work at the clinics located in **College Park, MD, Alexandria, VA, and Germantown, MD.**
This Assistant’s responsibilities includes duties related to the front-desk and back office. Responsibilities assigned to individuals can and will change at any time at the discretion of management or the supervisor.
**Schedule**:Monday-Friday (travel to clinics in College Park, MD, Alexandria, VA, and Germantown, MD required)
**Responsibilities**:
- Escort patients to infusion chairs, documenting height, weight, blood pressure and temperature as indicated.
- Stock clinic with supplies each morning, clean between patients.
- Responsible for the medications and ensuring the medications are within the correct clinic prior to the infusion.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies, completing requisitions (order forms) in a timely manner to ensure supplies are not depleted.
- Scan and log paperwork in charts as directed.
- Front desk responsibilities including but not limited to make appointments, check patients in upon arrive and out when departing, collecting co-pays and payment on accounts, verifying insurance, checking eligibility and providing new patient with appropriate welcome documents.
- Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Must have at least (1) one year of office practice experience, preferably in an office setting
- Must be comfortable with back office and front-desk responsibilities
- Must be comfortable with regular travel between clinics
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- High school Education or equivalent
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
