Payor Relations Representative

Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, support, develop and maintain relationships with all insurance providers within our network. This position responds to inquiries, replies to referrals, and successfully engage to bring additional insurance providers in which to partner. This position also manages and conducts out-of-network negotiations and contracting as needed.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Support and maintain a positive relationship between managed-care networks and the laboratory
- Oversee the daily operations of managed-care networks and other health plan contracts
- Follow up with contract negotiations
- Respond, immediately, to external managed-care related issues
- Provide ongoing managed-care network education to sales staff, when needed
**PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS**:
- Successfully initiate new managed-care and other insurance network relationships
- Successfully implement contracts with managed-care and other insurance networks
- Experience meeting deadlines
- Work well under pressure
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience in healthcare managed-care contracting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory managed-care contract developing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
