**Summary**:
Sanu, a postnatal retreat in northern Virginia, is looking for full time summer contract and per diem Nursery/ postpartum Assistants

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Postpartum Doulas:

- At the direction of our Postpartum Doulas assist with newborn care in the nursery, administrative tasks, sanitizing surfaces and stocking, assist with meal service to our parenting teams.
- Reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with Nursery Care:

- Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants in the nursery.
- Attend to the basic needs of infants, including feeding, diaper changing, and comforting.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment within the nursery.
- Maintain Documentation:

- Keep accurate records of infant care activities and observations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols related to childcare documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in childcare, nursery care, or related fields is preferred.
- Understanding of infant care techniques, including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting families during the postnatal period.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisory staff.
- Basic knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of safe handling of breastmilk and bottle preparation
- Experience with newborns and/or infants preferred
- CPR certification preferred

Sanu is the new frontier in postpartum care providing a postnatal retreat with a non-clinical purpose-driven care program for moms, partners, and newborns on a floor of a full-service hotel.

Our goal is to maximize moms’ postpartum recovery, reduce stress and anxiety that often contribute to postpartum depression and anxiety, and provide a relaxing and rejuvenating stay during a critical, physically and mentally demanding time during a mom’s fourth trimester. Partners are fully included in our care program.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
