Responsible for transitioning and providing continuous support to ancillary and support services departments’ administrative and operational management. Manages the environmental and facilities operational & project management of off-site satellites in collaborations with Engineering directors. Manages environmental and support services contracts. Responsible for support services operations at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospitals (MSSLRH) Support departments including: - Maintenance/Engineering - Environmental Services/Housekeeping & Linen - Dietary/Food and Nutrition Services - Security - Safety - Transportation - Materials management - Others
**Responsibilities**
- Transitions and provides continuous support for all outsource support service managers, in Hospital systems and software.
- Responsible to coordinate non-payroll new hire process-identification, employee numbers and IT system access.
- Provides training and support to managers on administrative human resources-ORACLE HRIS and iProcurement, TALEO, PEAK.
- Ensures department directors are managing position controls, FMLAs, vacancies and benefit time utilization in a timely manner.
- Acts as liaison between Union leadership and outsource contracted personnel to ensure compliance with labor contracts.
- Conducts audits of employee files to ensure departments are in compliance with Hospital policy on departmental orientation/continuous of new and existing employees.
- Provides oversight to management staff to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and to keep employees aware of changes and current standards.
- Reviews finances of the respective support services departments
- Coordinates, plans, trains and reviews payroll policy and procedures with directors and managers to ensure employees are paid accordingly.
- Reviews monthly Budget Comparison Reports with Directors, as needed, to ensure variance reporting and accruals are done timely.
- Provides supportive training for Epsi, which includes budget analysis and variance reporting. Supports directors with annual departmental capital and operating budgets preparations.
- Develop, negotiate and manage contract for services at SLRH with other organizations in collaboration with MSH
- Manage, transition out-sourced organizations that provide services to MSSL & MSRH.
- Monitors department’s contracted services’ performance activities.
- Coordinates with Environmental Directors contracts/subcontracts for existing and new outsource services. Coordinates all auto pays and ensures that invoices are processed in a timely basis.
- Ensure that support services are compliant with standards of regulatory agencies including Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA, etc.
- Represent SLRH support services at the executive levels at SLRH, CHP and externally
- Manage quality improvement programs for the respective departments
- Chair Environment of Care and other committees and participate in other SLRH and CHP committees
- Develop and assure compliance with SLRH and CHP policies

**Qualifications** EDUCATION**:
Masters Degree in health, business or related field

**EXPERIENCE/SKILLS**:
Minimum 7 years experience managing support services operations in large or medium hospitals with solid knowledge/experience in:

- Standards of regulatory agencies including Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA, etc.
- Developing/managing support services budgets (operating and capital)
- Supervising senior staff including departmental administrators and directors as well as front line staff
- Union environment and working with labor relations and unions to ensure smooth functioning departments
- Developing, negotiating and managing contracts for support services and working with out-sourced companies
- Support services quality improvement activities
- Managing capital projects
- Selecting, supervising, evaluating, disciplining employees
- Others

**Compensation Statement**

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $115,494.00 - $173,241.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
