**Job Responsibilities Include**:
- Analyzing accounts receivable on a client and matter level, working closely with Billing Attorneys, reaching out to Client contacts to ensure timely payments of outstanding invoices, successfully resolving difficult-to-collect receivables and providing firm management with information and action plans regarding Client payment trends, risks and challenges.
- Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations.
- Identifying issues attributing to account delinquency and discussing them with management.
- Reviewing and monitoring assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
- Regularly communicating with attorneys regarding efforts and status of past due accounts. Working cooperatively and creatively with attorneys to collect past due accounts as effectively as possible.
- Building effective working relationships with Client Accounting/E-Billing and Accounts Receivable departments and team members; interacting closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely and accurate postings of client payments and resolution of same.
- Recording information about the financial status of clients and the status of efforts in the collection module.
**Job Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of collections experience including interaction with a large customer base.
- Strong communication skills needed - both oral and written.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access.
- Knowledge of Aderant Software is needed.
- Must possess an understanding of math, finance and billing cycles.
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
