Creative Works is growing every day. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports individuals with disabilities throughout southern and central Maine, With five community service program locations throughout central and southern Maine, and 35 residential homes, Creative Works believes in creating opportunities for people to contribute to their communities, to pursue their potential and to be treated with dignity and respect.

We are looking for a nurse trainer to teach a regular Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) class for us once a month. The work would total about 30 hours/month, 24 hours for the class and 6 hours for admin.

**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY**: This position is responsible for delivering the Certified Residential Medication Administration (CRMA) state-approved curriculum and training to employees of Creative Works that will enhance the services the agency provides.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
Conduct training sessions as needed by the agency personnel in various agency locations, including but not limited to: Westbrook, Auburn and Augusta

Provide necessary documentation to division of Licensing and Regulatory Services to complete certification requirements for staff.

**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ensure staff members have access to information necessary for them to complete the CRMA class successfully.

Other duties as assigned
- this position does not provide direct care to people with disabilities receiving services from CW, unless specific observation is needed for completion of staff certification.

**PHYSICAL WORK TOLERANCES**:
Ability to do standing/sedentary tasks for long periods of time.

Ability to perform range of motion tasks, including but not limited to reaching, bending, stretching, stooping and lifting.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (all personnel are trained in correct lifting procedures).

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Licensed Registered Nurse

Completion of Maine’s CRMA “Train the Trainer” course

Experience in training of adult learners

Valid Driver’s License

Satisfactory driving record per agency’s insurance company standards.

Ability to speak, read and write in English
