**The Opportunity**
We are looking for a dedicated JR Purchaser/buyer to join our Procurement team. The Purchasing Agent reports to the Director of Warehouse/Facilities & Purchasing and is responsible for, identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.
To be successful as a Purchaser/Buyer you should be able to critically Assess Suppliers, Products, and Services, and Negotiate the best possible Deals. Ultimately, an outstanding Buyer / Purchasing Agent has a Keen Sense of Business and maintains Meticulous Transaction Records.
In this role, you will collaborate with other departments, such as Customer Service, Sales, Service, and Finance, so Teamwork Skills are very important. You should also have strong Communication Skills, both Written and Verbal.

**Your Impact at BDS**
**Under the direction of the Director of Warehouse/Facilities & Purchasing you will be**:
- Purchasing for all Equipment, parts, supplies, and outside services.
- Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and policies for procurement.
- Maintain accurate records of relevant purchase documents for reference purposes.
- Prepares reports as requested to review metrics.
- Manages daily purchasing activities.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Conduct assessments to identify new and reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Coordinating with warehouse leadership to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested.
**Requirements**:
**What You’ll Need to be Successful**
- 3+ years of in-depth WMS / ERP Inventory Management Software experience
- Excellent knowledge of Purchasing Processes
- Strong Purchasing, Negotiation, and Contract Analysis Skillset
- Very Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications
- Creative Problem-Solving Skills
- Attention to Detail with strong Documentation and Organizational skills
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Self-Motivated to look at Situations/Processes and have an innate desire to make them better.
- You are a Team Player, who loves to Brainstorm with others to gain Perspective and Insight, working on projects or tech issues Collaboratively with your Colleagues.
