**Starting Salary: $26.65 - $27.50/hr**

We are looking for a CHAT Communications and Engagement Coordinator for Mid-America Arts Alliance's division Culture of Health-Advancing Together (CHAT). CHAT is dedicated to addressing health disparities and supporting immigrant and refugee communities. You will help manage the intern and volunteer program. Your primary responsibilities will include recruiting, coordinating, and supporting interns and volunteers to support multiple aspects of programming.

**You Will**:

- Help assign responsibilities to interns and volunteers based on their skills, interests, and availability.
- Hold weekly meetings with interns and volunteers to review project progress, address any concerns they may have, and provide updates to your supervisor.
- Monitor and evaluate intern and volunteer performance, providing feedback and support to provide a positive experience and meaningful contribution.
- Facilitate training and workshops for interns and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to interns and volunteers, helping them develop and complete their assignments.
- Represent CHAT at recruitment fairs, networking events, and community forums to raise awareness of our programs and recruit new interns and volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records of intern and volunteer activities, including hours worked, tasks completed, and achievements.
- Help inform and build the editorial calendar for M-AAA's division, CHAT.
- Develop and send the monthly newsletter for CHAT.
- Update graphics from a template and distribute flyers for school programs in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
- Assist CHAT with event planning.

**Requirements**:
**You Have**:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience in public health, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience in intern or volunteer management.
- Experience working with a diverse population.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve identified outcomes.

**Working Conditions**:
Most work is sedentary, with sitting at a desk using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. You will travel occasionally to deliver CHAT programming, attend conferences or convenings, and recruit interns and volunteers. You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and additional projects with short-term deadlines. You may work some weekends. This is an in-person position.
