**Position Purpose**:
The Procurement Agent delivers exceptional service through ensuring Distribution Center locations have adequate inventory levels to meet their business needs, while maximizing inventory velocity. Procurement Agents will also monitor all purchase orders and ensure the occurrence, quality, and timeliness of product deliveries.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- 40% To maintain continuity of supply on stock items that matches our rate of sale and forecast while minimizing interruptions of service to the customer. Acquire material in accordance with the SBA terms and agreement. Interface with Merchants and marketing regarding product needs.
- 30% Responsible for KPI goals set by the purchasing manager for their assigned product lines. Review daily purchasing reports and implement strategy changes as necessary. Initiate returns to balance inventory as needed.
- 20% Resolve shipping discrepancies with distribution centers and invoicing disputes with accounting.
- 10% Responsible for maintaining current vendor pricing files. Maintain vendor relationships at the highest level.

**Direct Manager/Direct Reports**:

- No direct responsibility for supervising others.

**Travel Requirements**:

- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

**Working Conditions**:

- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
