**SUMMARY**

The Group Leader will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functionality of warehouse activities. This position will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse material handlers, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This position will require exceptional prioritization, ERP system, attention to detail, communication and leadership skills related to fundamental warehouse activities.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following:

- Lead and coordinate the activities of the warehouse staff to include but not limited to picking, packing, receiving, staging, cycle counting, receiving and shipping materials.
- Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to assure optimal workflow and productivity.
- Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, systems, equipment, safety protocols and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and good manufacturing procedures (GMP’s) to maintain inventory and quality control.
- Coordinate with other departments such as purchasing, engineering, planning and customer service to assure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
- Oversee inventory management and conduct regular count verification, location verification, cycle counts and physical inventory to assure inventory accuracy.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient warehouse practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Resolve issues or conflicts that may arise within the team and address performance concerns through ACT and leadership skills.
- Maintain subordinates’ performance appraisal process in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance including productivity metrics, inventory levels, and fulfillment rates.
- Adheres to company policies, workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Provides additional support to the Materials Team as necessary to achieve the best possible results for the organization.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Directly supervises 3 to 5 employees.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong leadership abilities in order to motivate and guide a team towards achieving organizational goals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in inventory management and data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and ERP software for tracking inventory and generating reports.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in warehouse operations to implement efficient solutions.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including logistics, receiving, storing, fulfillment and inventory control.

**REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, OR KNOWLEDGE**
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- Forklift Certification
- OSHA Forklift training certification (preferred)
