**General Manager, FL Building Code**
The General Manager will work collaboratively with district staff, providing leadership and coordination of services related to the direction and daily operation of the assigned department, program, or project.

**DUTIES**:
- Provides leadership in the design, development, and evaluation of programs and materials for specified content areas and/or projects.
- Supports administrative, supervisory, and school-based personnel in the implementation and monitoring of programs.
- Creates, monitors, manages, and modifies budgets according to organizational priorities and fiscal accountability.
- Supervises subordinate staff in their performance of duties.
- Ensures competent, consistent, and defensible performance of staff through observation, training, and evaluation.
- Inspects and analyzes operations within the areas of assignment to improve processes, procedures, services, and support to schools and work locations.
- Prepares and manages the disbursement of a budget, including operating and/or capital funds, as appropriate.
- Establishes and maintains an effective and cooperative working relationship with local, state, and federal agencies. Ensures that department staff adheres to state rules, school board rules, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Informs administration, through proper mechanisms, of potential problems and unusual events.
- Responds to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Develops annual goals and objectives for assigned departments or programs and evaluates to ensure program success. Exercises proactive leadership in promoting the vision and mission of the district.
- Demonstrates initiatives in identifying potential problems or opportunities for improvement and takes appropriate action.
- Maintains expertise in assigned areas to fulfill project goals and expectations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully._
**Education**: Master’s degree is **required**. Degree in educational leadership, administration/supervision, or related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in education or project management related field, with three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred.
- **Certificates/Licenses/Registrations**: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision preferred.-
