**Purpose**:
The Manager on Duty-MOD is responsible for the operations of the property in its entirety. This includes following and enforcing all company policies and procedures in accordance with all property manuals, employee evaluations, counseling, coaching, recruiting, training, following budget guidelines for expenses and labor, and achieving revenue goals. This position also performs various tasks relating to marketing, budgeting, rate management, and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

**Primary Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Managing the Business**:
The Manager on Duty
- MOD will work 8 to 10+ hours per shift, 5 or 6+ days per week, based on occupancy and staffing demand. Holidays and weekends are affected by peak demand which means all team members must work together during those days to keep their entire business operation running efficiently.
- Complete Weekly and Monthly reports and paperwork as assigned.
- Ensure efficient management of all departments of the resort by enforcing all policies and procedures.
- Respond to action items and guest related items or problems promptly and effectively to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist with regular and meaningful performance reviews in such a manner that promotes open two-way communication.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure that all revenue targets and goals are met by all departments.
- Carry out and measure training objectives in each department.
- Be aware of industry trends and knowledgeable of local events.
- Maintain a culture of legendary service and hospitality among all staff.
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness, maintenance, and care throughout property grounds, pool areas, activity areas, common areas, back of house areas, and guest rooms.
- Address employee related items and issues promptly and professionally in a manner that is consistent with core values.
- Work with local health departments, fire inspectors, and other state or local agencies to maintain compliance at property.
- Recruit and employ following all federal labor laws as well as company policies for recruiting and employment.
- Compliance with TOSHA certification, biohazards procedures and responsibilities for safety in handling.
- Knowledge and ability to comply with all company operating policies and procedures.
- To be aware of industry trends and knowledgeable of the area including events and trends.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and/or assigned.
