Head Housekeeper

The Head Housekeeper Supervises all housekeeping employees, plan and schedule work assignments, inspect housekeeping personnel work assignments and requisitions supplies. In addition, Head Housekeeper will also perform daily cleaning when there are personnel deficiencies and is responsible for oversight of the entire housekeeping area, to include hotel rooms and public areas.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervises all housekeeping employees; hires new employees as needed with the help of Assistant Manager.
- Plans the works of the housekeeping department and distributes assignments accordingly. Creates Housekeeping reports; assigns regular and special duties; reviews the completion of assignments.
- Schedules employees and assigns days off according to occupancy forecasts; maintains schedules and daily attendance logs for all employees within the department.
- Informs new employees about regulations; trains and assigns new employees to work with experienced employees; inspects and reviews the work of new employees.
- Inspects the housekeeping staff periodically to check quantity and quality of work.
- Keeps weekly inventory of linens and cleaning supplies and informs management when it's time to order more.
- Plans “deep cleaning” schedule for guestroom areas.
- Works with other department heads for set up of furniture and other necessary items.
- Conducts regular inspections of all facilities to note needs for special cleaning.
- Assists in cleaning and laundry when there are personnel deficiencies in the department.
- **Job Qualifications**:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1year progressive hotel, or commercial cleaning experience.

Prior supervisory experience.

fluent in English and Spanish language

Good attitude with a true desire to satisfy the needs of others.

Highly motivated.

Shift:

- Day shift

Work Location: In person
