**Reports To**:Vice Principal and Dean of Students

**Classification**:Non-exempt

**Hours**: 20 hours per week, 12-months

**Job Summary**:The Educational Support Specialist works closely with the Student Services department to support learning for all students.

**Essential Roles and Responsibilities **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage team of Academic Support personnel to ensure students with ISPs are successful in the classroom.
- Assist in creation of student ISPs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and guidance counselors in implementation of student ISPs.
- Collaborate with Study Lab teachers and students to ensure a continuum of services..
- Manage a caseload of students to ensure ISP expectations are being met in the classroom.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and students regarding student ISPs and progress towards goals.
- Participate in admissions process for students with academic needs.
- Train and coordinate the work of Inclusion PTAs (peer teaching assistants).
- Plan and promote relevant professional development for faculty and staff.
- Coordinate and collaborate with teacher consultant from All Belong.
- Partner with District 94 to coordinate referrals and evaluations.
- Champion a vision of belonging for all learners among faculty and staff and help create a community where each student can experience belonging in a biblically-grounded, Christ-centered high school.

**Requirements**:

Finally, this person must be a self-starter who takes initiative and is proactive rather than reactive; is organized with a strong attention to detail; and is prepared to develop procedures to ensure repeatable systems.
