**What You'll Do**:
**Your Accountabilities in the Role**:

- Provides leadership, direction, and management of the accounting team with two direct reports
- Establish and develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team
- Oversee the accounting operations of the company including the monthly accounting close, financial reporting, A/P & A/R functions, monthly account reconciliations, fixed assets, internal controls, and cost analysis
- Manage the process for financial forecasting, variance, and cash flow analyses
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning
- Lead annual budget process
- Ensures strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls
- Ownership of the internal audit of accounting procedures
- Oversee the company’s annual external auditing and taxation processes and filings
- Identify and advise on opportunities to improve corporate governance, cost controls, processes and KPIs

**Position Requirements**:

- Education: 4-year degree in accounting
- Experience: SAP expertise required. Big 4 experience preferred. 7+ years of experience with progressive leadership experience. Audit management experience required, experience with 3rd party tax, audit, and accounting firms
- Certification: CPA certification
- Functional Skills: Exposure in a multinational firm and working within a multicurrency environment (USD$, CAD$, Euro) Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience building and leading a high functioning team
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Expertise with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Leadership/Behaviors: Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Professional integrity and ethical judgement, while being confident, yet humble. Ability to foster a cooperative and collaborative environment. Active listener. Proactive, polite, and assertive in their approach to driving results.
