**Description**

As a part of our team, you’re made ready for a fulfilling career with exciting new challenges and opportunities to stretch yourself As a First Line Risk Manager, supporting the Marketing and Communications activities, you will represent the First Line of Defense and support the business development and execution of policies and procedures that mitigate various types of risk at CFG. The primary function of this role will be to support marketing advertising compliance risk. Additionally, as time permits you will serve as a liaison, interfacing with business partners to drive meaningful reductions in risk. This role will be responsible for proactively reviewing, analyzing, and identifying emerging risks, escalating to management where appropriate. You will work with the business to assess the risk of key initiatives and program activities to help solve complex risk issues, identification of risk and controls associated to key business processes, process mapping documentation and projects within the Enterprise Data & Analytics Town.

Duties Include:

- Review Marketing Advertising collateral to ensure compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and supervisory guidance.
- Provide guidance and feedback related to marketing materials to Marketing and Business Line partners
- Assist with determining the appropriate review path marketing collateral will take in OneView
- Support risk management with the risk identification, tracking and remediation for all project work within the Marketing & Comms team. Support various business line projects to address risk issues, working with business leaders to analyze and quantify risks, assess solutions or mitigation activities, and develop remediation plans.
- Review current policies and procedures to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and support internal governance processes. Provide Risk point of view on strategies, driving change where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of business processes along with regulatory requirements for risk management and controls.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability through training, education, and risk management consultative support

Required Experience/Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of business areas processes and/or products and operations; regulatory requirements; process mapping of key business processes and identify risks/requirements and controls associated.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build relationships across all levels and with the ability to collaborate effectively, take the initiative and work as part of the team
- Proficient use of Microsoft suite of products and Atlassian tools (JIRA/Confluence) strongly recommended.

Education: Bachelor’s degree OR at least 5 years working experience in the financial services industry with a focus on risk management, Compliance and/or Audit

Hours and Work Schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 remote

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
