Vroman's Book store looking for an experienced food and beverage professional for **The 1894 Wine Bar. **An individual who likes working with others and demonstrates great initiative and creativity. The Wine Bar Manager will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations and build on the existing DNA of our wine bar. The job has frontline customer service responsibilities, “back room” tasks, and entrepreneurial aspects.

**Vroman's The 1894 hours of operation**:
Wednesday - Friday 3-9pm
Saturday 1-9pm
Sunday 1-7pm
CLOSED Monday & Tuesday

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Schedule varies, days, nights, and weekends depending on the needs of the store. May have the ability to set schedule. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Hiring, training, supervising and terminating staff with assistance from the Operations Manager.
- Scheduling to ensure department coverage and efficient use of payroll.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service.
- Monthly inventories of supplies and food/drink supplies & ordering.
- Overseeing loss prevention and security/safety.
- Creating and executing ideas to improve the wine bar and attract customers.
- Marketing and promotion including Instagram account and website.
- Preparing food, washing dishes, cleaning up, serving customers, ringing transactions.
- Food and drink menu development and execution.

Requirements**:Food Handler and RBS certified**. Basic wine knowledge and interest is a must. Restaurant/bar management experience; knowledge of current food and beverage trends; exceptional customer service and people skills; a proven record of initiative (coming up with ideas) and follow-through (executing those ideas); experience managing people and projects.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
