**Responsibilities**:
- Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
**Required Qualifications**:
- Basic knowledge of arithmetic & algebra concepts
- Excellent work ethic
- A willingness to learn
- Passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**
- Experience working with children as a Teacher, Tutor, or Mathematics Instructor
- Pursuing a degree in math/science, education, or related field
- The ability to teach Algebra 2 or higher levels is a plus
- Excellent child management skills and ability to tutor in a small group setting
- Ability to create a sense of comfort in parents and children
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff, parents, and students
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent leadership skills
**Center Operations**
Mathnasium is open 3:00 pm - 7 pm Monday -Friday. The instructor must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekdays, preferably 3-4 weekdays, Monday-Thursday with a starting time between 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Shifts end between 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
This is a _part-time position_ and Instructors will work anywhere from 10 - 24 hours per week. Hours may vary but generally are from 3:00 pm - 7 pm Monday -Friday.
