The primary function of the Patient Accounts Specialist is maximizing revenue from private insurance, public insurance, and private pay. Activities to achieve this function include managing patient accounts receivable by collecting payments and arranging payment plans, reviewing patient insurance coverage, obtaining prior authorization as needed, and addressing patient inquiries related to billing. The position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with medical billing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Computer experience required. Excel, Word, EHR preferred
- Medical or healthcare office setting experience preferred
- Current Driver’s License (PA, MD, or DE)
