B Capital Group is looking for an Investor Relations Associate to support the firm’s fundraising efforts. The role represents the opportunity to work with B Capital’s Head of Strategic Relationships to drive top-of-funnel outreach to investors through meetings, conferences and events. The IR Associate will be primarily responsible for supporting investor engagement, including attending and taking notes at investor meetings and conferences, engaging in investor outreach and updating the CRM. The Associate will also support the broader IR team on materials preparation, due diligence requests from potential investors and other IR operational responsibilities.
**BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Supporting investor engagement by the Head of Strategic Relationships:
- Attending and taking notes at investor meetings and conferences, engaging in investor outreach and updating the CRM
- Planning, preparation and implementation of various investor conferences and events
- Prepping leadership for meetings and speaking roles
- Supporting the operational needs of the broader IR Team:
- Assisting with the preparation of fundraising materials including executive summaries, pitch books, PPMs, DDQs, etc.
- Collaborating with investment and finance teams to complete due diligence requests
- Supporting various initiatives in building out processes and infrastructure for the Investor Relations function
**BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
- BA/BS in a relevant discipline
- 1 - 2 years of experience in investor relations preferred or business development at an asset manager, financial institution or placement agent
- Proficient and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
**KEY COMPETENCIES**:
- Effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing skills and interest
- Ability to project manage timely and effectively across multiple initiatives
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Strong attention to detail and genuine passion for excellence
- Results oriented, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Problem-solver mentality with the ability to research solutions and propose resolutions
