Afternoon Threes Assistant Teacher

York Avenue Day School is looking for a dedicated educator for a part-time afternoon position working with children in a Ones or a Twos classroom to start in June. Hours are from 2:15pm to 6:15pm, Monday through Friday for the summer with the possibility of extended hours in the fall.
Requirements for Assistant Teacher:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood (preferred), Associate's Degree, or minimum some college credits
- Minimum two years of experience in an Early Childhood setting
- At least 21 years of age
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
York Avenue Day School is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are an all-day school, serving children ages 6 months through Pre-K. Our mission is to provide a warm, safe and child-centered environment that encourages positive self-esteem, self-discovery, social interaction and active learning for young children. We follow an emergent and progressive approach to create a curriculum that is differentiated and adapted to the individual needs of each child. We are a member of ISAAGNY and the Parents League.
