Machine Shop Quality Inspector

**Job Overview**:
We are a Machine Shop located in Gardena and have been in business for over 40 years. We are AS/ISO Certified and are looking for a qualified individual to aid in the First Article and In-Process inspection of machined components using conventional surface plate methods, precision measuring tools, pins, gauges and through the programming and operation of a Brown and Sharp CMM running PCDMIS.

**Primary Duties**:
Inspect incoming products & machined components to ensure they conform to customer requirements, blueprints, using all necessary tools, comparators, CMM, and relevant equipment.

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components and assist in the filling out of inspection reports.

**Qualifications**:
Need to have recent inspection experience relevant to the industry utilizing current methods. Strong knowledge of Blueprints and GD&T is required.

Individual must be able to work independently with mínimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.

Individual must be able to work well in teams with others.

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred and certifications in precision inspection and other related disciplines are favored.

**Physical Requirements**:
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, sit, use hands to handle objects and feel controls; reach; climb stairs; stoop; crouch and have vision capabilities that enable reading and viewing measurement devices, drawings and a computer screen.

The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
