- **PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A TECHNICIAN POSITION. THIS IS AN ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION. OUR DOCTOR ASSISTANTS PERFORM ADMINISTRATIVE, CLERICAL, AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES. WHILE SOME ANIMAL HANDLING IS REQUIRED, THIS POSITION LARGELY INVOLVES MANAGING SCHEDULING AND APPOINTMENTS, ROOMING/OBTAINING HISTORY OF PATIENTS, CREATING AND PRESENTING ESTIMATES, AND CLIENT COMMUNICATION (VIA PHONE, EMAIL, AND TEXT).**_
- **Required skillset**:_

2 years of previous veterinary/animal experience (customer service, patient care, kennel), RVT, or technician experience is a plus

Excellent time management skills.

Team player with a positive, upbeat attitude.

A strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Maturity, good judgment, and professional manner/communication with clients and staff.

Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Able to perform duties independently with mínimal supervision.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

General knowledge and ability in animal restraint and behavior (cat and dog only).

Promote humane and caring attitude/affection towards animals and always treat patients with respect.

Provide exceptional and compassionate care to our patients and be committed to their overall care and welfare.

Punctuality and reliability are essential.

**Fundamental duties include but are not limited to**:
Providing excellent customer service

Facilitate effective communication between doctors, clients, and staff

Manage assigned doctors daily schedule

Scheduling appointments, urgent care cases, and suregeries/dental procedures

Admit clients to exam rooms to obtain a history, obtain vitals on patients

Track and enter charges for patients' visits.

Fill prescriptions and provide written prescriptions when requested

Creating and present estimates

Maintain the overall cleanliness of the hospital

Admit and discharge patients

Follow up with clients re: concerns, updates, reminders, scheduling

Client education
- **Physical Requirements**:_

Pull, push and lift moderately heavy objects/animals weighing up to 40 pounds.

Reach above or below shoulder level.

Sit, stand, bend, kneel or squat for extended periods of time.
- **Work Details**:_

Open Monday through Friday from 8 am-6 pm.

Full-time position (3-4 ten hours shifts)

Salary based on experience
