This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality inspection reports.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assist in Inspections**:Accompany the licensed inspector to residential properties to observe and participate in inspections.
- **Learn Inspection Techniques**:Learn how to conduct thorough examinations of various systems and components of a home, including structural integrity, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and more.
- **Documentation**:Assist in documenting findings during inspections, including taking notes, photographs, and measurements.
- **Report Preparation**:Help in preparing inspection reports summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations.
- **Client Interaction**: Interact with clients during inspections, addressing their questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- **Continued Education**:Engage in ongoing education and training to stay updated on building codes, regulations, and inspection techniques.
- **Adherence to Standards**: Follow established inspection standards and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy in assessments.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:Assist in maintaining inspection tools and equipment in good working condition.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Licensure**:Licensure or certification as a home inspector preferred. Alternatively, willingness to obtain licensure during employment required.
- **Attention to Detail**:Strong attention to detail is essential for accurately identifying defects and potential issues in residential properties.
- **Communication Skills**:Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively communicating findings to clients and colleagues.
- **Physical Stamina**:Ability to climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and spend extended periods on your feet during inspections. Manual dexterity of hands and wrists in order to operate computer and office equipment. Good eyesight to read, write and conduct residential inspections. Good hearing and speech in order to communicate with owners, buyers, real estate agents, tenants and the general public. Must be able to tolerate heat and cold weather.
- **Technical Aptitude**:Basic knowledge of residential construction and systems is beneficial. Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment is a plus.
- **Customer Service**:Ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients and address their concerns.
- **Reliability**:Dependability and punctuality are crucial, as home inspections often occur on a strict schedule.

**Compensation**:

- $15.00 / hour (_*Possibility of raise after 90 days)_
