Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing patient assessments, maintaining infection control protocols, and providing exceptional patient care.

**Duties**:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical coding
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar using Dentrix software
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- Current certification in dental assisting or radiology preferred
- Proficiency in using Dentrix software or similar practice management software
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
