HealthFitness has a great opportunity for seasonal part-time & full-time Lifeguards at our client site located in Old Westbury, NY. This position is seasonal through September 2024. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
You will be working approximately 20 hours per week
Key Accountabilities- Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.- Enforce and explain rules as necessary.- Respond appropriately to any emergency.- Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.- Attend all required staff meetings and training.- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.- Maintain a professional attitude.- Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements- Must be at least 16 years old.- American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.- Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
Compensation: $17.00/Hour - $19.00/Hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
