**Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.**

**Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June)**

**Reports to: ASP Director**

**General Description**:The Assistant After School Program (ASP) Director supports the Director in managing, organizing, and engaging the After School Program.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan, execute, and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that programs are meeting the needs of the school, parents, and students.
- Prepare materials and equipment for after school instructional activities.
- Provide homework assistance and academic support for students K-8.
- Implement weekly lesson plans and theme events.
- Supervise outdoor recreation and ensure the safety of the students while following a prescribed program plan
- Establish clear, consistent expectations for behavior and positive discipline

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience working with school age children preferred
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
- Strong character values, strong communication skills, emotional maturity

- Have criminal history clearance. (Fingerprinting specific to MCS to be arranged at hiring.)
