**SUMMARY DUTIES**

The Accounting Specialist supports the finance operations by processing invoices, filing documents, data entry, research and other clerical duties through communication with departments, vendors, and clients. The Accounting Specialist will process, record, and pay invoices, bills, and other transactions. The Accounting Specialist is consistently focused on teamwork, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. This individual is to ensure that daily sales match the recorded bank deposits and reconcile any differences.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Auditing reports through verification of bank deposits, petty cash expenses, and customer vouchers for payment
- Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager, this position will perform monthly/period end bank reconciliations
- Filing
- Upholds company standard policies and procedures
- In the performance of job duties, will follow established safety procedures and policie

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry
- Analytical mind with intermediate to expert level MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Highly organized and trustworthy with the ability to manage confidential information
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Basic understanding of auditing techniques and account reconciliations
