**Description**
Perform all activities associated with supporting production of our clinical and commercial operations in a GMP manufacturing setting. One must be flexible to work multiple shifts and weekends and/or overtime as needed.
**Technical Functions**:
- Perform basic laboratory tasks (pH, Conductivity, sampling, etc.)
- Demonstrate aseptic technique in the handling of product/materials (work in biosafety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, use of sterile filtration and pipetting).
- Perform operation of autoclaves and sterilizing equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform operation of media and buffer prep equipment according to established procedures. This equipment includes but is not limited to prep vessels, mixers, hold vessels, etc.
- Clean production equipment and work areas to maintain facility standards.
- Transfer hazardous or non-hazardous waste materials to collection areas for disposal, recycling, or reuse.
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies to support manufacturing.
- Support all Upstream and Downstream Processes as a secondary operator when necessary.
**Education/Experience Required (preferred)**:
- High School Diploma with 2+ years of work experience or AS/AAS (Biotechnology or related) with 0 years of experience.
- Basic computer and math skills required
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
**Physical Demands**:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and push/pull 200L/500L barrels or totes with assistance from other manufacturing personnel.
**Work Environment**:
- Clean room manufacturing environment.
- Requires the ability to gown and wear clean room attire as well as any required protective equipment up to and including safety shoes and safety glasses.
- Employees must meet hygiene and health requirements to allow them to work in a clean room environment.
- Residency in the Greater Austin Area.
