**ABOUT THIS POSITION**:
As an integral member of the Prevention, Education and Coordination Program, the primary function of this position is to guide, facilitate and promote the county’s collective efforts concerning the prevention, identification and response to human trafficking and sexual violence; support development of sexual violence and human trafficking coordinated community responses; increase community awareness and engagement; work with partner agencies to develop human trafficking and sexual violence education strategies and awareness platforms; work with local, state and national resources to expand DSVS’s and allied professionals’ capacity to identify and provide trauma-informed and culturally relevant interventions for human trafficking and sexual violence; work with allies to develop strategies and set realistic goals to change social norms around human trafficking and sexual violence and end systemic oppression that contributes to them. NOTE: this role does not involve case management coordination and has very little direct service.

Under the general direction of the Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) Program Manager of the Prevention, Education and Coordination Team, facilitates needs analyses and benchmarking, strategic planning, policy analyses, data collection and reporting, process improvement, building and strengthening partnerships, and other work related to human trafficking and sexual violence prevention, policy recommendations, and program development. With input from relevant stakeholders and communities, coordinates the development, implementation and communication of interdepartmental and community plans and moves the work forward to achieve goals and objectives, strategies, policies, best practices and awareness strategies. Leads DSVS strategic planning efforts to elevate sexual violence and human trafficking. Facilitates coordinated community response to human trafficking and sexual violence as well as active ally relationships. Acts as a point of contact and representative for issues of human trafficking and sexual violence and provides or facilitates the provision of technical assistance to community and county partners as needed. Participates in team information-sharing, joint strategy and analysis of the work.

Participates in staff meetings and training, as required. With other DSVS staff, provides rotational coverage of the program’s 24-hour crisis lines and responds to requests for hospital accompaniment. Works from various locations throughout the county. Attends evening and/or weekend meetings and activities. Performs and carries out other duties as assigned.

- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Ability to develop and present high quality and engaging educational programming.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex assignments and workload sufficiently to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of diversity and equity and how it relates to violence prevention and intervention.
