**Job Summary**
This position supports one or more categories of products or services as directed by the category/purchasing manager in the sourcing strategy, development and execution. This includes working cross functionally across CCM to determine sourcing needs of the organization, understanding the associated market dynamics, and working with existing or potential suppliers to develop and implement optimal sourcing strategies to maximize the value (cost reduction, continuous improvement, supply continuity, product/service quality). This role will also serve as the primary relationship manager with the strategic suppliers in the assigned spend space. Standard hours of operation will be Monday
- Friday, 8 am to 5pm, with 15% travel time throughout the year to suppliers, industry conferences, and manufacturing sites.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Continuous assessment of internal business requirements and supply market conditions for value added opportunities
- Identifies and develops new sources and/or works with existing sources on current supply needs and future opportunities.
- Develop and implement category sourcing strategies in accordance with CCMs purchasing policies and procedures
- Leverage nationwide spend over 50+ manufacturing locations.
- Negotiate multi-year supply contracts with vendors under the direction of the category/purchasing manager
- Acts as the primary relationship manager with supplier for assigned categories - Acts as an interface between suppliers and business stakeholders
**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:
- Supply market savviness - able to keep abreast of global macroeconomics impacting supply chains for assigned categories of products and services
- Strong data analytic skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent supplier/stakeholder relationship management skills
- Experience in using business intelligence tools (Power BI, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Excel (proficient in using advanced mathematical, logical, statistical functions)
**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:
- Required:
- A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of supply chain experience (Category Management and Strategic Sourcing)
- Preferred:
- Experience managing indirect materials
- Relevant industry certifications (PMP, CPIM, CPSM etc.)
**Working Conditions**:
- Individual will operate primarily in an office setting, with a hybrid flexibility to work from a home
part of the week.
- Individual will occasionally be in a plant environment where it may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder
than office settings.
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
