**Part time position available**:
Part Time Position
Shift times Monday-Friday are 11AM-7:30PM, Saturday and Sunday schedules could fluctuate but shifts will end no later than 7:30PM.
**Objective**:
This primary objective of this position is to provide activities for residents in Memory Care to stimulate the mind. The Memory Care Partner is to meet the memory care resident’s social and recreational needs through engagement while providing autonomy and participation in community life.
**Essential Functions**:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Implements events and activities to enhance experience and improve the quality of life for a resident with memory impairment.
- Facilitate programming and services to meet the assessed needs, interests and capabilities of residents with age related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s/ Dementia.
- Maintains regular communication with supervisor about residents.
- Working knowledge of Dementia and other age related illnesses and provides service to those individuals.
- Supports the resident’s abilities by ensuring all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity.
- Demonstrates knowledge about residents in regard to background, participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity and attention span capability.
- Leads and implements one-on-one small group and large group activities according to the programming schedule.
- Assists with setup and assistance with meals and snacks and resident needs.
- Ensures outstanding customer service in accordance with the mission of Peace Village.
**Required Education and Experience**:
- Preferred CNA or companion experience with extensive prior work or experience in a related field.
- Two years or more of successful experience working with Dementia/ Memory loss is preferred.
- Recreation training experience is preferred.
- Experience coordinating and instructing activities.
