**Responsibilities**

The Assembly Technician is a critical role at V&J Auto Body and is responsible for assembling vehicles with a high attention-to-detail, ensuring proper fit and alignment.

Responsibilities include:

- Inspect vehicle parts to ensure all surfaces are properly prepared and address any surface issues, ensuring all parts are ready for proper fitting and installation
- Fit and assemble various vehicle parts, following precise alignment and specifications
- Utilize appropriate tools to securely fasten parts and components, ensuring they meet manufacturer and safety standards
- Check assembled parts for alignment, fit, and functionality, ensuring there are no gaps, misalignments or defects
- Make necessary adjustments to parts and components to achieve proper alignment and functionality
- Follow industry and manufacturer procedures diligently by adhering to the provided work order for each listed operation
- Utilize provided technology and software to update vehicle status and document procedures executed
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including body technicians, painters, and quality control technicians, to ensure a seamless repair process from start to finish
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant safety guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the shop at all times
- Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle-assembly techniques and industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: shop maintenance, shop projects, company initiatives, etc

**Requirements**:

- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Assembly Technician, 3+ years experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle-assembly techniques and industry best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and diagnose vehicle issues appropriately
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members
- Professional attitude and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
