The NYPD strives to foster a safe and fair city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between the people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.
- The Facilities Management Division plays a critical role in keeping Department facilities operating safe for staff and visitors as it oversees the maintenance for over 250 Department facilities citywide. FMD manages multiple facility renovations that support Department initiatives and unit relocations. FMD is comprised of uniform, civilian trades, professional and administrative staff.
- Plans, implements, coordinates may monitor and/or evaluate community services.
- Prepares documents for funding community programs, prepares evaluations, reports, analyses and reviews program plans, funding and performance.
- Makes recommendations on policies and procedures.
- Provides interpretation of complex problems and assistance in training to subordinate staff.

Minimum Qualifications1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or

Preferred Skills- Demonstrate strength and thoroughness in all aspects of daily work - Must be a team player with an energetic positive disposition - Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.- 55a ProgramThis position is open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a program.
