POSITION DESCRIPTION / MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ICCF Group is looking for a college student, recent college graduate, or other entry-level applicant to assist the Grants Director in overseeing the execution of the ICCF Group’s various international grants and projects. The Associate will ensure activity-based compliance with deadlines and standards, working closely with the Finance Office, VP of Development, and Program Directors. There is potential for advancement and greater responsibility, based on performance. The Associate will gain experience in project management, with an emphasis on grant planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Grant Finance Support _
- Serve as the intermediary between project staff and financial office in the filing and coding of expense reports against project budgets
- Work collaboratively with Grants Manager and Finance Office to complete grant financial reports in compliance with project deadlines
- Track co-financing of projects to ensure alignment with approved budgets and compliance with agreements
- Grant Writing and Proposals_
- Monitor notices of funding opportunities in the international conservation sector for potential projects in current or new regions of focus
- International Grant Management _
- Organize all grant and subgrant documentation for the ICCF Group and maintain tracking systems for activities and deliverables of all international programs
- Assist International Grants Manager in grant reporting of progress towards outcomes, and completing reports with support by Program Officers to ensure compliance with deadlines and other requirements
- Ensure project activities are properly documented including attendance lists, topics and themes addressed, and knowledge products developed
- Coordinate project monitoring & evaluation, including Project Steering Committee meetings and reports, and coordination with third party evaluators for mid-term and terminal evaluations of projects, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The Grant Management Associate position is entry level, and must possess the following skills:
Education and Training:

- Bachelor’s degree required, or actively pursuing degree
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and cooperatively with cross-cultural team members is required
- Demonstrated experience working with Office software products, especially Excel
- Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization skills
- Knowledge and experience working with the GEF, USAID, and other conservation donors is a plus
- Spanish language skills a plus

Team Partnership Skills
- Must work well as a member of a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary, multi-lingual, global team
- Proven, professional abilities and technical skills in working with complex multi-cultural operations and teams
- If unfamiliar with international conservation issues, willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and projects, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to work with a team, but capable of working independently

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

- The position is based in Washington, DC
- Part time (approx. 3 days per week), with potential for future full time
- $30,000-$40,000

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
