**NAVIGATOR/CASE MANAGER**:
Bethel Community Foundation (BCF) is a truancy intervention program designed to assist families in identifying and addressing contributing factors to chronic school absenteeism. The Navigator is a full-time position with a total benefits package (health, dental and vision). Starting salary is $42,500 annually with a retention bonus after one year of service. The completion of an HR Avatar pre-employment test and a Level 2 Background screening is required before hire. This position reports to the Executive Director.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain a maximum caseload of 15 - 20 youth/parents.
- Complete a minimum of 29 enrollment intakes annually.
- Provide mentoring to youth weekly and coaching to parents bi-weekly.
- Conduct school, office, or home visits for mentoring and coaching sessions.
- Complete intake assessments and service plans during service enrollment.
- Coordinate youth/family referrals to in-house BCF services; Individual/Family Counseling, Anger Management, Active Parenting or Youth Resiliency classes.
- Facilitate Youth Resiliency Classes on a rotation basis.
- Provide employability skills to youth during BCF’s Summer School-To-Work program.
- Prepare case notes and track youth/family compliance with service plan.
- Maintain contact with parents/guardians, local law enforcement officials and social service agencies within the community to coordinate with BCF Truancy Intervention Program Services.
- Participate in staff meetings and training/workshops as required.
- Complete mandatory training hours; 80 hours minimum first year, 24 hours annually thereafter.
- Attend truancy or CINS/FINS court hearings.

**KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Knowledge of practices used in caring for youths including abuse hotline reporting.
- Ability to mentor youth & coach parents.
- Ability to participate as a group leader in guided group interaction sessions.
- Ability to develop strategies for reducing risk factors that contribute to school truancy and other behavioral problems.
- Ability to prepare reports and case notes using Microsoft Word.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or Associates degree with a minimum of 4 years youth related social service experience.
- Two years experience working with at-risk or delinquent youth.
- Abide by all provisions of F.S. 985.01(2) regarding fingerprinting and background investigation and other screening requirements for personnel.
- Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and appropriate car insurance.
