Wieland is hiring a **Plate Saw Operator**. The Plate Saw Operator will be responsible for machine operation and product quality while also assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed. This role is located in **Texas City, TX** **and will be fully on-site.

**Starting Pay**: $19 per hour

**Schedule**: First shift

**Responsibilities**:
**Plate Saw Operator R**esponsibilities**:

- Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment
- Responsible for the set-up, process, and maintenance of Plate Saws
- Saw cut plate into finished product at varying tolerances
- Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product
- Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections
- Load and unload product from the machinery for processing
- Assemble, rebuild, setup, maintain, and operate equipment
- Forklifts, hand tools, etc.
- Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy
- Report product discrepancies to management
- Actively communicate with teammates
- Operate forklifts to move material
- Other Operations tasks as assigned

**Plate Saw Operator Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 4 years of machining experience (preferred)
- Mechanical/maintenance skills a plus
- Understanding of band saw controls (preferred)
- Understanding of manufacturing industries
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and management
- Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
- Ability to work shift work and occasional Saturday hours as required by the position
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers (critical skill)
