An established aerospace and defense company supplying complex, highly engineered mechanical components and systems is looking to expand beyond its Israel base to rapidly strengthen its presence in the USA.A major architect of this expansion will be the newly created position of Business Development Director, who will be responsible for all aspects of growing the business in North America. This will, initially, be a part time position.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Establish new relationships with potential OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers in the aerospace and defense industry. Interact frequently with existing and potential customers concerning upcoming projects. Formulate and implement sales strategies. Develop a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities. Screen and qualify new business opportunities. Create winning proposals. Meet or exceed annual sales revenue growth goals. Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor performance. Identification and support of key trade shows. Understand market trends and the competitive environment for key customers.Skills & Qualifications
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, driven, and self-starter. Organizational skills - prioritization, resource allocation, multi-tasking. Ability to influence and negotiate, with strong conflict management skills.
Required Experience
Required Education: BS Engineering, MBA beneficial.

Position: Contract - part time - 20-30hrs/week

Travel: 25% - 50% domestic

Compensation: Highly Competitive with Benefits

Location: Rockford, IL.Remote, Work From Home option is available.
