**Job Description and Requirements**
- We are looking for a security professional to undertake the surveillance of client's premises
- The security professional will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing trespasses, vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior
- The security professional must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators
- The security professional must have the ability to tactfully deescalate certain situations in a professional matters without drawing extra attention
- Must complete required security/safety training programs
- Keep client's premises safe and problem-free
- Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing to the supervisor
- Meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications
- Work in environments and under conditions that require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of others
- Maintain awareness and familiarity with the site-specific post orders, SOPs and information in company provided handbook
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
- Investigate individuals for suspicious activity, behavior and possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocols before arrival of local authorities
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences by completing a DAR and/or a report on Silvertrac
- Greet guests and residents in a cheerful and welcoming manner
**Skills**
- At least 3 years of experience as a security officer
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Excellent report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
**Minimum Hiring Standards**
- Must have a reliable means of communication
- Must have a reliable means of transportation
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Must have a valid Guard Card
- Must have PC832
- Must have Exposed Firearm Permit
- Must have CPR/First Aid
- Must have the ability to learn how to operate basic smart scheduling and reporting apps
