JLAN Solutions is a Washington, DC-based woman-owned government consulting firm dedicated to delivering top-tier solutions for federal government contracts. We're a small team of employees and are seeking a Contract Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
As our only Contract Manager, you'll be tasked with focusing on enhancing internal processes, organizing databases, and documenting policies to ensure excellence within our federal contracts, as well as proposals. You will also manage and oversee the incumbents working on project success within client sites, providing leadership and mentorship, as well as troubleshooting hands-on when needed.
Ideally, we'd love it if you have experience working within a cusotmer-facing environment where you are responsible for relationship building and stakeholder management. If you've lead and managed project teams on federal government contracts and have proven project management experience with process improvement, database management, and policy documentation, we'd love to talk with you
**Location**: hybrid - this position does not require the employee to work onsite full-time. It does require the employee to travel as necessary to client sites, conferences, and workshops within the DMV.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage project teams on federal government contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Drive internal process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects
- Oversee database organization to ensure accurate and accessible project information
- Develop and maintain comprehensive policy documentation to support project and organizational goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with federal government requirements
- Provide strategic guidance and support to team members to foster a high-performance culture
**Qualifications**:
- 4+ years of experience as a project manager, specifically with federal government contracts
- 2+ years of experience with process improvement, database management, and policy documentation within federal environments
- 3+ years of experience with leading and project team management skills (teams up to 15 people)
- Experience helping to establish agency position through relationship-building and strong management of stakeholder relationships
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working within a small federal govcon agency
- Underestanding of the RFP and RFI process
**Education**:
- Bacehlor degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or similar focus OR 8+ years of experience managing federal projects
- PMP, CSM, Agile Scrum Master, Six Sigma or similar certification
