**Duties**:

- You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and revision of financial management policies, plan and programs.
- You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization's programs
- You will direct and /or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs with the organization.
- You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.
- You will serve as the MCB liaison with the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) for accounting, military payroll, civilian payroll, travel payment and vendor pay matters.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

**Qualifications**:
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
