Overview:
In this position the Chemist is responsible for providing water, oil, metals, gas chemistry analysis and technical guidance to the Groton Facility.

This position is for either 1st shift or 2nd shift. The final shift selection will be made based on the desires of the applicant. Flexibility, alternate work schedules and weekend assignments may also be necessary during key construction evolutions.”

Qualifications:
**Required**:

- A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field or equivalent Navy experience (ELT)

**Preferred**:

- 3 years’ experience using analytical chemistry such as Inductively Coupled Plasma, Gas and Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Benchtop Wet Chemistry

**Skills**:

- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete work accurately - attention to detail is essential.
- A cooperative attitude/capability to work well with other team members and customers
- Strong organizational skills.
- Problem solving and resolution skills.
