**Job Opportunity**:
The experienced Underwriter will be responsible for expanding and developing new Hospital relationships, as well as growing a renewal book, through production & marketing calls with brokers and customers. Our underwriters analyze Healthcare Professional risks with broad opportunity for production across the Healthcare Industry Segment and collaborate with BHSI business units: Cyber, D&O, Property, Transactional Liability, and others.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Production Underwriting of Healthcare PL: primary, umbrella, excess, reinsurance
- Broad Professional liability underwriting experience in Healthcare preferred
- Conducting broker and insured meetings including travel
- Establishing, developing, and expanding broker relationships
- Learning and selling new healthcare products as they are introduced
**Qualifications, Skills, and Experience**:
- Hospital and/or Outpatient underwriting/insurance experience
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Position located in BHSI office in Atlanta, Boston, New York or Chicago.
- Large account Underwriting and client experience preferred
- Strong underwriting acumen, effective communication, and negotiation skills
- Motivated, adaptable, analytical, and collaborative
- Proven leadership and record of effective execution
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
