The Reality Labs Wireless New Technology Introduction Team is looking for an AI/ML Engineer to drive the state-of-the-art AI-powered wireless technology for AR/VR products.
**Research Scientist, AI Responsibilities**:
- Optimize algorithms for low-power and mobile compute requirements
- Collaborate with hardware, product, research, and other cross-functional teams on code deliverables
- Build technology demonstrations and communicate results to a wide range of audiences
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, or equivalent
- Experience in machine learning algorithm development and state-of-the-art models (e.g., SVM, CNN, LSTM, Transformers).
- Experience in at least one machine learning platform (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or equivalent)
- Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
- Experience with deploying AI/ML model to mobile computing platforms
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Knowledge of radar and sensing technologies
- Familiarity with consumer hardware design process, and wireless technologies (antennas, RF, WiFi, BLE, 5G, etc.)
- Experience with communicating complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
