The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking an **Infection Control/Nurse Educator **to join our team.

**Infection Control/Nurse Educator responsibilities include**:Providing focused orientation and education for the Behavioral Health staff, overseeing infection control, and overseeing employee health for the hospital. The Staff Educator role assesses staff training and development needs on an on-going basis. This individual coordinates and teaches components of nursing orientation, assists with annual required trainings and skills competency as wel as and other direct patient care training programs. The position will also be responsible for recording and assigning trainings in person or via online learning tool; ensuring all CEU admissions are submitted to CE Broker and properly maintained. The Infection Control role is responsible for ensuring that the facility meets standards of The Joint Commission, CMS, State Health Department, and OSHA by following current guidelines issued by the CDC. Responsible for developing, implementing, conducting and evaluating programs, continuing infection control education for nurses and other related staff education.

This position works primarily Monday
- Friday, day shift but must be flexible to some off shift hours and weekends from time to time to ensure off shift infection control and staff education requirements are met.

Qualifications:
**Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements**:

- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License, BSN preferred.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Previous experience working as an Infection Control Nurse.
- Must be Certified in Infection Control or obtain this certification within two (2) years of employment.
- Preferred, one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
- Experience mentoring, orienting and teaching staff nurses, leading groups, and preparing nursing staff learning topics.
