**Summary**

The Human Resources Generalist's responsibility is to oversee employee relations, execution of policies and programs, assist with recruiting, hiring and retaining staff, manage risk, maintain regulatory compliance, and oversee compensation and performance reviews in a friendly and professional manner.

Pali Mountain's 250-acre alpine site is nestled in the heart of the San Bernardino mountains, 90 minutes from most of Southern California.

Pali Mountain has 3 business units: a summer camp, an outdoor school, and a conference center.

**Essential Duties**
- Planning and conducting new employee orientation to foster positive company attitude.
- Coordinating supervisor and management training.
- Conducting internal workplace investigations following incidents or complaints.
- Resolving staff conflicts through conversation, mediation, facilitation, and creative problem solving.
- Responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Overseeing performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Assist the recruiter with hiring and interviewing as needed.
- Investigating accidents/injuries and preparing reports for workers compensation claims.
- Participating in ongoing educational opportunities in order to remain current in employment law and changing regulations.
- Representing organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations if required.
- Identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

**Education and Experience
Minimum 4 - 7 years of work experience in Human Resources required.

Experience hiring Summer Camp staff and/or Outdoor Education staff is a plus.

**Salary and Benefits**
- $75,000 - $90,000 per year commensurate with experience.
